Northern Health
Terraceview lodge (TVL) is a 99 bed long-term care facility with 4 care communities: Lakelse, Copper, Skeena and Nass. The facility is comprised of 90 long-term care beds, 3 hospice palliative care beds, and 6 short stay beds available for respite and convalescence stays.
Rehabilitation services, Recreational Therapy, Food and Nutrition services, and Housekeeping services provided. Hairdressing and barber services are available on site for a fee determined by the service provider. A dental room is available.
Cable and phone services are available and are the responsibility of resident and/or their family.
Persons living in a long-term care home are offered spiritual support through various religious and spiritual groups. Spiritual care may be provided through group meetings, one –to-one visits, sermons and music & song.

Residents pay 80% of their after tax income, with minimum and maximum rates set by the Ministry of Health Services. This rate covers the standard benefits provided by all long-term care homes. These costs are available on request or in the Long Term Care Home Resident and Family Handbook.
There are typical additional costs not covered by the daily rate.
Each room contains a hospital bed, a closet or wardrobe, a bedside table and chair, and an en suite bathroom. Residents are encouraged to personalize their room by decorating it with pictures and things of importance.
Terraceview Lodge provides Recreational Therapy Services on a daily basis. Pastoral and Spiritual Services are also available to residents.
All power mobility equipment, including scooters and power wheelchairs, is assessed on an individual basis. The equipment is inspected on admission and a resident may be required to pass a power mobility driving test.
Basic, non-customized wheelchairs are provided. Walkers, canes, and any specialized or customized equipment are not provided therefore the cost is the responsibility of the resident.
NH has a pet visitation policy. Pets may visit as long as immunizations are up to date, pet is well mannered, on a leash in common areas and family is responsible for cleaning up after pet.
All Northern Health facilities are smoke free. Residents are asked to smoke outside the facility in designated areas.
Comfort and safety is extremely important. We have secure doors with alarms, as needed to protect our residents.
Families and loved ones are partners in care and are encouraged to visit and participate in many of the day-to-day activities. The main doors lock a 9:30 pm; a doorbell is located to the right of the main entrance should visitors require access to the building after 9:30 pm.
Ample visitor parking is located adjacent to the main entrances.
Terraceview Lodge is located on ‘the bench’ with a view overlooking the city.
