2009 Community Consultations: “Let’s Talk About Primary Health Care”
In fall 2009, Northern Health held public meetings on primary health care in 18 communities across northern BC. “Let’s Talk About Primary Health Care: Discuss the Future of Basic Health Care in Your Community,” was an opportunity for Northerners to provide input on activities and services that support good health throughout a person’s life.
Comments were also gathered online and on paper. In total, almost a thousand residents participated.

Past community consultations
2007 - Northern Health held the community consultation titled "Let's Talk About Addictions and Mental Health", in May, June and July of 2007 - for the full report, click here (for the executive summary of the report, click here). This consultation was originally scheduled for 2006, but was postponed to avoid scheduling conflicts with the Premier's Consultation on Improved Cancer Care in Northern BC.
2004/2005 - NH also conducted a consultation program, "Let's Talk About Health", across Northern British Columbia in 2004. This consultation provided a great deal of feedback that has shaped the operations and strategic direction of the organization.
